I am trained to Ph.D level as a Microbial Biotechnologist with expertise in Environmental & Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology.

Since completing Ph.D in 1985, I have to date, a wide range of experience in academia, research and consultancy. I have also done policy and planning work with management of natural resources and environmental impact specifically in the area of microbial ecosystems and environment.

I am currently employed as an Associate Professor with the premier university in Malaysia University of Malaya and have several publications in high impact scientific journals and mass media.
