Professor Saumitra Mukherjee has 33 years of Experience in Geology, Water Resources, and Remote sensing Applications. He is a Ph.D. from BHU Varanasi and Commonwealth Fellow UK. He is serving in Jawaharlal Nehru University since 1992. Professor Mukherjee has worked as Dean of School of Environmental Sciences JNU from 2016 to 2018. Before joining JNU he has served Central Ground Water Board and Remote sensing Applications Center as Scientist. He has published 125 papers in Peer-reviewed Journals and Author of 11 Books. Besides supervising 27 Ph.D. students he has completed 20 Research Projects sponsored by NASA, ISRO, Ministry of Water Resources, GSI, NIC, DST, etc.Information
