About

I am a development professional with over 10 years work and academic experience in India and the UK in the social sector. I have been working with government and other agencies for last 10 years and a the same time  I am armed with a Master’s Degree in Development studies and Gender from University of Leeds, UK as a Ford Foundation scholar. In the beginning of my career I have worked in remotest corners of the country on ground- the real grassroots- implementing policies of government, NGOs,Companies (CSR) and international organizations. Establishing a sustainable community development and a healthier community life is my dream career goal.

I have just completed my MSc in water service management from  UNESCO-IHE, a prestigious institute for water education with NFP fellowships .My thesis is on “ Photovoice as a tool to study inequalities in access to water and sanitation services, through the eyes of domestic workers in Delhi, India”.  The research aims to study Delhi's, water distributions through the eyes of women working as domestic workers, who in their work do most of the household chores related to water, but face challenges to obtain sufficient water (and get rid of unclean water) once they go back to their houses. The research focuses on a group of women, who work as domestic workers in the south Delhi area, to document their daily journeys and daily strategies to access water and dispose of waste waters.
