With PhD in Environment (NRM); MSc in Soil and Water; and MSc degree in Project Management from University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Registered Professional with Project Management Institute (PMI) and Prince2. I have more than +12 years of progressive professional experience in North America in works and registered a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers od Alberta (APEGA), Ontario (PEO) and Pakistan (PEC). I am a registered project manager, certified by PMI and PRINCE2.
I have worked extensively as a Project Director/Team Lead/Senior Project Manager and have gained knowledge about the standards, procedures, safety regulations and practices used in executing capital projects. I’m registered as a professional engineer in Canada and Pakistan. Developed and implemented the strategies, policies and systems related to the preservation and enhancement of environment, and water. Provided executive direction, statutory decision-making and strategic oversight for the sustainable stewardship of natural resources, including the Natural Resources, Resource Planning and Assessment, and Species at Risk.
- Extensive experience in Natural Resources development, implementation, and evaluation of legislation, policies, practices, initiatives, plans and programs for all aspects of resource stewardship and Indigenous Relations.
- Extensively led IWRM, Water and Environment and Natural Resources projects as senior leader and program steward, operating with considerable independence to direct and accomplish government goals and priorities across the natural resource sector. Directed, developed, implemented, and evaluated legislation, strategic and operational plans, and the delivery of programs associated with province-wide natural resource stewardship and leadership.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior management capacity, including dealing with politically sensitive and provincially significant issues and developing policy, procedures and corporate practices, strategic business and organizational planning, and procurement and financial management.
- 10+ years’ experience leading high-profile projects and initiatives and providing leadership to teams comprised of cross-functional and multijurisdictional government representatives and external stakeholders.
- 10+ years’ experience collaborating with First Nations, including developing engagement strategies and identifying pathways for effective communication.
