As far as Agriculture and its contribution to soil water pollution is concerned lack of knowledge (little awareness) among the farmer, following of set of cropping pattern and crop rotation is leading to loss of biodiversity which is resulting into high incidence of pest and diseases. To control the infestation the only knowledge center available for the grower is local dealer or retailer who is more concerned to generate more money rather than impact on soil and water. Fertilizer and pesticide doses recommended by research/ agric university is are set aside by these dealers and push forward their recommendation. Secondly the basic concept of agro climatic zone and crop selection has been forgotten and the only factor which is forced to the grower is "Market". This is putting lot of pressure on the ecology and water demand. It needs regulation by promoting and infrastructure development like "Mandi" for Agro Climatic zone suitable crop only in that locality. This will also help in reducing unnecessary pressure on the ecosystem and also will give stable and fair price to the producer.
