I was of the opinion that Industrialisation and making of dams together are big cause of making river dirty.We are putting in more than what we can clean and further reducing the amount of water and reducing the rate of flow complicates things even further.the life forms were able to clean things themselves as they had enough water.Now we are putting in more dump as effluent and also reducing the ability of water to clean by reducing the amount of water.Although many sewage treatment plants are made, but they fail simply because of the volumes they must handle.Instead if each Industry can process their small volumes and then discharge it in the river back, It will be a win-win situation for all.There are microorgnaisms available that will help.So no infrastructure and also no need of electricity and also the river will be much cleaner.
