Nothing in the report is new and unknown. When water of all the tributaries of Ganges minor or major like Yamuna river is being recklessly utilized, the Ganges has to face water scarcity much more than indicated in the BBC report. In the agriculture sector , the canal water is being mercilessly utilized to the extent of making the lands water logged and unfertile. Every state / district / groups wants to utilize 100 percent water flowing in the river in their territory leaving zero discharge at tail end of their territory, leaving no water even for environmental reasons. Clean Ganga mission is a superficial mission which will fail , like clean Ganga mission under UPA Govt, when funds were spent with zero results.

Dear Mr. Agrawal, Clean Ganga Mission will never fail because its being done with honest intentions. Damage done by us (humans) and past governments is big and deep. It will take time to cure. If one's mother gets cancer, does the son leave her to die. He will try his best in all ways. Thats what the Modi Government is doing. Doing their Best in all Possible and honest ways.
