Only objective results of a thorough research should be propagated as in age of science we live. It would also be prudent if water properties are also checked by reputed International bodies that can afford technical testing of water samples... I remember having read much earlier that some investigations had concluded that Ganges has much superior properties that enable its waters to reduce its organic pollutants entering into it during its passage thru towns and cities ---with in a short time when such waters reach downstream a few kilometres from the towns, in the comparative sense and it was attributed to presence of Calcium , Phosphorus salts present in it due to ritual of emersion of human ashes / bodies in to it .
