What has been tried in India is on an open canal merely for water transfer, the water which has to be intact on the way, which by this token not only electrical power is produced, needed nearby; but the evaporation loss is reduced. Also land saving is achieved, otherwise where needed power via solar panel a great area of land has to be allocated. But, in my article I am talking about rivers, which out of the produced electrical power, the lands upland beyond the river banks could be developed a lot. When having water and electrical power, all kinds of activities could be achieved; needless mentioning the river water itself could be cleaned up. Just think on the Ganges River, etc. Best regards, Mashallah
