Hello
in Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan called me to solve a problem on a river that eroded land borders in its path which of the power plant. After much research it turns out that this river is not originally from a source, but it's a river of excrement.
The majority of the world's population rejects his feces in the environment and mainly in natural water settings. As long as we consider that these natural environments are the trash of human domesticity, pollution will only increase.
It is the same in your project.
The real problem of surface water is intgimement related to the issue of water management waste his main source of pollution. Wastewater to date are no purification of their pollution. We're in 2017 in the same configuration of 1000 years back: defecation in the open despite the billions of dollars invested in that ineffective just as expensive infrastructure

Very well written! It's a shame that in so many developing countries such as India we treat rivers that provide so beneficial uses for us humans from drinking, agriculture, commercial and industrial uses is being so wasted and treated literally like a sewer dump. I wish you the best of luck with your cleanup efforts. Just curious to know because here in the States in California we get a lit of State funding and support for river restoration and cleanup efforts whether it's for the Sacramento River or the San Diego River that are considered impaired for high levels of sediment, bacteria and heavy metals from construction, commercial and industrial sites, so how much does the Indian government agencies invest in improving river water quality and environmental/public health with these restoration efforts? After all funding and community engagement of this important work is absolutely key to success and I know this from personal experience having worked on lower San Diego River restoration efforts for three years that was quite successful.

Great effort, hope we give back the due respect to our rivers that they deserve. After having been blessed with a steady supply of clean water in our taps, we almost forgot that this elixir comes out of the rivers or the ponds which we have so nonchalantly polluted and snuffed to death. Wonder, how long we can stay foolish to imagine that the water we extract from these bodies can stay fresh and pure despite the abuse. Imagine that water constitute 90% of our bodies and our cells do share the same distress as these rivers, if you thought that only the rivers were dying, have a look at the mirror and if you saw the river in you, go ahead and clean the river. Kudos Mr Nripendra, wish you all the success for your cleanup drive.
