You are correct Paritosh, constructed wetlands require a lot of land.  I have set up 2 in the State of New Mexico.  However, since 1973, I have been designing and building algae-based wastewater treatment facilities partly based on the original concept of the late Prof. William J. Oswald.  He was one of my mentors and I cut my teeth in this area of technology working with him on 2 facilities in Israel.  My design is a modified high rate algae pond type of facility.  It requires about 5% of the land area of a constructed wetland. The CAPEX is about 20% of the typical high cost, energy energy consuming type of facility that is built in most Western countries.  The OPEX of my type of facility is also about 5% of the typical Western type facility.  I have designed my type of facility for a plant which will soon be built and operating in Uttar Pradesh.
